SRM's Resource Center volunteers provide a welcoming presence while offering direction and referrals to guests. This role is often the first point of contact and serves as a portal into the many offerings of the Resource Center and the programs of Springs Rescue Mission. Volunteers assist guests in taking care of some of the most important basic tasks that help lead them to a more sustainable lifestyle. While certain tasks need to be performed, this position is highly relational and requires volunteers to be calm, approachable, and flexible.

While volunteer duties may vary from day to day, typical duties include:

• Welcome guests into the Resource Center
• Provide information and referrals to guests
• Distribute mail to active clients
• Assist guests/clients in signing up for appointments with partner agencies
• Monitor laundry and shower usage
• Provide the necessary items and instructions to guests
• Help maintain a safe and clean environment with the help of the guests

Morning shift from 7:45 am - 12:00 pm

Afternoon shift from 12:45 pm - 4:00 pm
