Road to Recovery is an American Cancer Society program offering free transportation to cancer patients. Volunteers donate their time and use their personal vehicle to take patients to and from their treatments. Volunteers can specify how often and how far they are willing to drive and volunteering to drive a patient even once a month will help. Cancer patients must be ambulatory (can walk without help) or will bring someone else to help them. Most rides are needed weekdays, daytime hours.
