Community Based Mentoring

Big Brothers Big Sisters - Pikes Peak
El Paso County, Colorado

Community Based Mentoring: Volunteers are matched with a child (ages 9 to 12) to be that youth's mentor and friend. Together, they spend time doing whatever activities they can think of, based upon their mutual interests.

Volunteers are committing to being a positive influence and role model to a child for at least one year, spending time with their mentee two to four times a month.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Pikes Peak staff members support the mentors and the match relationship, offering guidance, suggestions, counsel, assistance and advice.

This is our traditional mentoring program for which Big Brothers Big Sisters is best and most known for, nationally.

Volunteers must be 21 years of age, have a valid drivers license and auto insurance, and be able to pass an extensive background check.

Right now, for this program, Big Brothers Big Sisters - Pikes Peak is in high need for male volunteers. Currently, we have several young kids enrolled as a Little Brothers waiting to be matched with a Big. Please consider volunteering as a Big Brother today!
