This summer, Costco will be donating a variety of food and other goods to One Heartland every Saturday between May 5th and August 25th. Those items will need to be picked up and delivered to camp, and we need your help!
As you can imagine, one of the largest costs during our summer programs is food. With your help and the generosity of Costco, we can greatly reduce this costs and serve more young people each summer. Since 2010, Costco has donated nearly $75,000 worth of food to One Heartland.
If you are interested in volunteering as a backup person in the event that a volunteer should cancel, please email Kelly Knapp ( kellyk@oneheartland.org) with your name, phone number, and the date(s) which you would like to do the pick-up.

One Heartland: Costco Food Donation Pick-up
Please help One Heartland this summer by picking up food donations in the city and bringing them to our One Heartland Center, about 90 miles north of the Twin Cities. One of our largest costs during our summer program is food and your help will greatly reduce this cost and allow us to serve more young people this summer.

please call this number with any
questions on day of donation pickup
Donation Process:
Please arrive at Costco between 9:00-11:00AM. Because we never know exactly what or how much we are going to get, it is best to have an empty vehicle or spacious vehicle. The donation is typically anywhere from 1 - 4 carts so plan to have a vehicle large enough to store up to 4 carts of food just to be safe (usually a lot of bread and similar items).
As mentioned, the donation pick-up time is on Saturday between 9-11am ONLY. When entering the Costco parking lot, please go to the left side of the building to the shipping door. There is a doorbell to ring and they will buzz you in. Tell them you are there to pick up the donation for One Heartland and they will have the carts waiting for you.
Once you have picked up the donation, please call camp at the number above to notify them of your approximate arrival time. This is also important if there is less than one cart full of items, as it may be best for you to deliver the donation to the Minneapolis office during the upcoming business week.
The drive from Costco to the One Heartland Center is about an hour and a half long. One Heartland Center staff will be expecting the donation and ready to help once you arrive. You will receive a donation letter upon request for the use of your vehicle for this purpose. We welcome you to spend the day and explore our beautiful facility and experience camp. We are located on 93 acres with several walking paths.
