We are looking for individuals actively pursuing experience and opportunities in the field of manual arts education. Through this opportunity you will be gaining hands on experience in teaching and engaging diverse populations across race, cultural boundaries and different abilities. This role will expose assistants to best practices in classroom management and teaching. We are specifically searching for volunteers that have experience and are comfortable in woodworking settings. Students will use basic hand tools to build their own bird houses, cars, and other projects.

Description

The Eliot School offers classes and workshops for all ages in woodworking, sewing, painting, drawing and related crafts and fine arts. Our affordable classes take place in a comfortable setting throughout the year.
