The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation Michigan Chapter is seeking creative individuals who can help pull the event together! Our annual Take Steps Walk, which is happening on Saturday, June 9th in Southfield has about 1,200 people in attendance and we're recruiting folks who what to help put on the best event for the IBD Community

Starting Line/Finish Line to send the walkers off and welcome them back

Kid's Corral - help manage games and crafts with kids

Refreshment area - help organize and keep stocked the refreshments for the participants

Registration/Check in - Help greet the walkers and get them checked in to the event

Set up - put on table clothes, make sure chairs are out, banners hung, route is marked and event looks great.

Parking Directions - Direct walkers from the parking lot to the event.

Our Mission To cure Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases.

Description

The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation is the leading nonprofit organization aimed at improving the life of and finding a cure for the 1.6 million American adults and children living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, chronic and often debilitating digestive diseases. The Foundation maintains a presence across the United States, with chapters in every state offering support groups, educational programs, and fundraising events. On a national level, the Foundation hosts a variety of educational programs throughout the year for patients and professionals, including educational teleconferences/webcasts and its annual Advances in IBD professional conference. Its Information Resource Center, staffed by master's level healthcare professionals, provides information and support to the Crohn's and colitis community.
