We need volunteers to train to assist in adopting out Dogs and Cats from the Kingwood Petco Store, where we have adoption events every Saturday and Sunday from 10-5. If you are interested, please reply so that we can schedule your first in-store training!
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old (store requirements).
Our volunteer schedule for the Kingwood Petco is:
- Fridays - Late Afternoon/Early Evening - Set up wire crates, tables and chairs - estimated time 1 hour.
- Saturdays -9 am to 1 pm - Get dogs and puppies situated in crates and pens; answer or refer customer questions; adoption contract paperwork; walk, water, and treats for dogs and cats
- Saturdays - 1 pm to 5 pm - Answer or refer customer questions; adoption contract paperwork; walk, water, and treats for dogs and cats
- Sundays - 10 am to 2 pm - Answer or refer customer questions; adoption contract paperwork; walk, water, and treats for dogs and cats
- Sundays - 2 pm to 5 pm - Answer or refer customer questions; adoption contract paperwork; walk, water, and treats for dogs and cats, help load dogs and cats up for transport; knock down and load crates.

Mission Statement
We seek to find homes for thousands of dogs (and sometimes cats) from Texas and surrounding states in order to prevent dogs from euthanization for lack of space in animal shelters, as well as dying on the streets and in rural areas.
Description
We are currently focused on fostering and fully vetting homeless dogs and moving them to the northern United States, and away from the pet overpopulation crisis in Texas, where over 96,000 dogs were euthanized in shelters for lack of space last year.
