Lake Tota
A glimpse of our outdoor environment.

Our NGO works on Lake Tota, largest lake in the highlands of Colombia. We need support and skills on a variety of activities such as monitoring, bird watching (research and advice), modelling for integrated management, graphic design, videography & photography, sustainable tourism (research and advice), canoeing (artisan manufacture, practice, plans & activities), and education.

And we offer an environment of enthusiasm and good energy to develop it all. We are and also need people who is creative and open minded, we like to think out-of-the-box and need help from people able to go beyond the average, to do great with little, and contribute on producing positive changes, for a better environment, and a better society.

Help

We need candidates who match our project description and needs. If you feel like 'this is right for me', then please contact us.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

According to our description, our projects and activities in the area are constantly linked to outdoor and frequent relation to local communities, both rural and urban. Some office work may be required too.

Besides, we offer an opportunity to have language interchange in a local university, for free, by participating and contributing with their language institute. Just a matter to check for availability, and to coordinate calendars.

Accomodation

When in our town, it will be in a local hostel, under a b&b scheme in a dorm. When in the field next to Lake Tota, it will be in a family house nearby. Conditions may apply for any other type of accommodation.

Time off

Time off can be used to visit our region, surrounded by páramos and other high-Andean beauties. A good number of small towns are nearby and provide a great deal of alternatives to enjoy the region and have more cultural exchange.
