Learn the ins and outs of EcoWorks' retail, creative reuse crafting, donations operations, community events, and more! EcoWorks is a local non-profit working with the community to re-route materials into new uses to keep them from going to waste in landfill or incineration in order to protect the health and resilience of our towns and environment. On Thursdays (1-7pm) and Saturdays (10am-4pm), join store managers Kim and Pat, or on Fridays (4:30-7pm) and Sundays (1-4pm), join store managers Jess and Trish, to assist customers, create inspirational sample items by repurposing materials, prep for events, and other fun opportunities! Available positions include assisting at the front desk/register, assisting in the craft room, assisting in the donation center, and assisting with short and/or long-term projects. Storefront mentorship opportunities include but are not limited to ringing up register sales, welcoming and engaging store visitors, and researching the prices of materials. Donation center mentorship opportunities include but are not limited to accepting donations, documenting donation metrics, sorting and pricing donations, and routing donations to the sales floor. Craft room activities are bound only by one's creativity and imagination! On-going projects often relate to planning and preparing for up-coming events as well as attending to reuse center improvement initiatives. EcoWorks also has several committees that assist the organization, such as the Outreach and Promotions committee, Programming and Education committee, and the Fundraising and Development committee, all of which welcome new members. There is always something new and fun to do and learn about, as well as a diverse crowd of store visitors to meet and cross-share ideas with to build new connections. EcoWorks is 99% comprised of volunteers, so thank you for your interest in joining the team; it is your involvement that keeps EcoWorks thriving for the community!
