We are looking for a tech-savvy social media strategist who is passionate about helping people with disabilities! Independence Unlimited, Inc. helps people with disabilities lead independent lives by training Independent Living skills, peer counselling, advocacy, information & referrals, and transition coordination. We are a Center for Independent Living located at 151 New Park Avenue, Hartford, CT.
- Long Term Position
- Flexible Scheduling
- Set up framework for social media accounts
- Position can be fulfilled remotely or in-person
- Work with the Independence Unlimited, Inc. staff to create and manage social media
- Should be knowledgeable and capable on multiple social media platforms
- Work to promote and grow social media prescense

To encourage and empower people with disabilities to live as independently as they choose, wherever they choose. We serve people of all ages, having any type of disability and do not charge for our services. We are organized, governed and staffed by people with disabilities.
Description
Through four core services; information and referral, independent living skills training, individual advocacy and systems advocacy we serve consumers with any type of disability. By providing these services, we help people move from the restrictive environment of institutions into their own homes in the community. We are currently working to establish a mentoring program in the city of Bristol, CT that matches community members with people moving to the area from hospitals, nursing homes, etc.
