The Healthy Parks Healthy People 5K is a fundraising event to raise money for scholarships to our Student Stewards Summer Camp. It’s also an opportunity for citizens to be active in their parks and have fun. We are looking for traffic stewards, trail stewards, water station stewards, and photographers. Please email Annie at Annie@tmparksfoundation.org with HPHP5K Volunteer Interest in the subject line.

Traffic Steward
Shift: 8:00AM-10:00AM (arrive at at 8:00AM)
There is nothing like showing up to a race, nervous or excited, and unaware of where to park! Be our first point of contact with participants and help them get to a parking spot in a timely and orderly fashion. Participants will be provided a map with general directions, but having some smiling volunteers out there to guide them will be a tremendous asset.

Trail Stewards
Shift: 9:00AM-11:00PM (arrive at 8:00AM)
Help make this race exciting and memorable for our runners! We are looking for positive volunteers to not only point runners in the right direction but to encourage and motivate them along the way. Stewards will arrive early in order to walk to their designated spot, marked as blue dots labeled "2-11" and "13-18" on the sitemap. Your spot will be assigned the day of the event and will be designated by a pin flag with your corresponding number (we will help you get there).

Water Station
Shift: 9:00AM-11:00PM (arrive at 8:00AM)
In order to ensure this race goes smoothly and everyone leaves happy, we need volunteers at the Water Station to provide water to our participants. Volunteers at this station will arrive early to walk to their designated spot, marked as the yellow dot labeled "12" on their sitemap (we will help you get there).

Photographer
Shift: 9:00AM-11:00PM (arrive at 8:30AM)

We are looking for high-quality photos of each runner: during the race, at the start/finish line, and the kids at the obstacle course. This opportunity is open for the amateur or experienced photographer and will require you provide your own camera and/or tripod. Photographers will be placed either on the 5K course, at the start/finish line, and/or at the kids obstacle course. Once the event is over, we ask that you select the best pictures and upload them to our DropBox by end of the day. Participants are eager to see their photos, so we try to post them as soon as possible.
