A great opportunity to meet the next generation of young engineers!
The Robotics Education & Competition Foundation seeks to increase student interest and involvement in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) by engaging students in hands-on sustainable and affordable curriculum-based robotics engineering programs across the U.S. and internationally. Judges play an important role in our efforts to ensure that our program remains student-centered.
This year marks the 12th annual VEX Robotics World Championship. This event will host the brightest minds from elementary school, middle school, high school, and university students for a massive competition that celebrates STEM education, collaboration, hard work, and year-round dedication. We anticipate over 30,000 visitors this year with 1,600+ of the finest VEX Robotics teams represented from across the globe.
We need to fill 100 shifts for our prestigious Judge positions! This is a two-day commitment that will have a lifetime impact!
- Age limit: Adult
- Physical demands/requirements - may be standing for long periods of time, however we can accommodate special needs or assign a sitting role.
- Skills, training or knowledge: Confidentiality, Impartiality, & Engagement
- Free parking and meals are provided for both days.

Mission Statement
The Robotics Education &Competition Foundation’s mission is to increase student interest and involvement in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) by engaging students in hands-on, affordable, and sustainable robotics engineering programs. We see a future where all students design and innovate as part of a team, experience failure, persevere, and embrace STEM. These lifelong learners emerge confident in their ability to make the world a better place.
Description
The REC Foundation serves over 25,000 student-led teams from elementary school through college in over 50 countries. Each year the REC Foundation works in close partnership with VEX Robotics to unveil new engineering game challenges for the VEX IQ Challenge and the VEX Robotics Competition. Led by their teachers and mentors, students form teams to design, build, and program robots for competition. Creating a workforce prepared to solve our future problems depends on our ability to harness students’ natural curiosity, engage them in meaningful learning opportunities, incite their passion, and expand their interest in a variety of subjects. The VEX competition experience provides just that type of environment, ensuring we have lifelong learners, excited to contribute to their future and ours.
