Here at the Maricopa Public Library we offer basic computer instruction for older adults. It's important that no one is left behind in the information age. We found many local residents are new to computers or have very limited tech skills. To counter that, we instituted weekly computer instruction for adults. We use a very well-crafted curriculum and our instructors are patient and knowledgeable. What we lack is an assistant who can walk around and offer a little guidance during the classes. It's not feasible for the instructor to stop the class and attend to an individual with a question or who is two steps behind. We are looking for computer class assistants who can assist the instructor. Our older adults need help learning 21st century skills.
