Community Support Volunteers working with GVA Foundation-Africa are playing an important role in development of rural communities in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi and Rwanda.

Community Support Volunteers have been getting involved in our projects since 2007 and we have registered several successful sustainable projects in different communities of East Africa.

Sustainable community development projects offer a variety of opportunities to make a positive impact for people who want to serve rural under served communities in East Africa.

This is one of the best ways you are able to completely immerse yourself and learn about Africa, our culture, and experiencing a completely a different adventure.

Community Support volunteer placements are available for both short term and long term volunteers and opportunities for internships through formal training and hands-on work experience.

Projects can be diverse and it might be a rural community to improve on their healthcare, working with orphans to improve their standard of living, building a community school, or just participate in the community outreaches organized by our Coordinators or helping youth with their ventures.

GVA Foundation- Africa is a registered charity that runs community projects in rural areas across Africa, focusing on long term community-led solutions to challenges caused by extreme poverty and poor education.

We recruit and place willing, non-skilled and skilled volunteers within our projects across the country. GVA Foundation - Africa seeks to aid in the development of self-sufficient, locally run projects which effectively address the most pressing needs of disadvantaged communities.

Volunteering is an amazing way to gain an insight into the culture of a country. By volunteering with a sustainable and responsible project you will not only become part of the community you work with, but will also be making a valuable contribution to long term solutions for the community served by the project you work with. GVA Foundation - Africa offers volunteers opportunities to work with the following projects:

All GVA Foundation volunteer placements include a donation to your project, the cost of your accommodation, pre-departure preparation and in-country orientation, supervision and training. It also covers the cost of food and daily transport to and from your placement location.
