ORGANIZATION: New Castle County Volunteer Services

Are you dedicated to the "Buy Local" movement and want to support local farmers and increase access to fresh foods?

Help support the farmers and vendors at one or more New Castle County’s five markets. Assist with food demonstrations, nutrition and produce information to attendees, outreach, and set-up and break down of markets.

Ideal opportunity for anyone interested in agriculture, animal and food science, sustainable farming and food systems, nutrition, food safety or helping the community in general.

Glasgow Park Farmers Market (Fridays) timings:

10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. - Placing of signs in park. Needs access to a vehicle.
1:15 p.m. to 3 p.m. - Setting up for the market.
3 p.m. to 7 p.m. - Help with running the market.
6 p.m. - 8.30 p.m. - Taking down signs, canopies, tables, tasks related to closing up. Needs access to a vehicle.
