University Hospitals Hospice is seeking compassionate men and women to give a few hours each month to provide emotional and practical support to hospice patients at their homes or in nursing facilities. You can provide friendly visits, calm presence or give a few hours of relief to a tired family caregiver by ensuring their loved one is secure and feeling safe while caregivers take a nap or run an errand. No hands on care is required and training is provided, including a convenient and engaging online training option. You can serve as part of a team alongside nurses, aides, social workers and chaplains with each person doing their part providing end of life care that meets the emotional, social and spiritual needs of the dying and their loved ones. As a hospice verve patients in the northeast Ohio communities closest to your home and work. By giving just a few hours a month you can make a big difference!

University Hospitals (UH) Hospice is committed to providing quality, compassionate care to persons faced with a life-limiting condition and their loved ones. Care is provided wherever the patient calls home, their residence, assisted living or in a skilled nursing facility. Volunteers are an essential part of our hospice team, offering calm, friendly support to patients and families, and administrative support to our paid hospice staff.
