University Hospitals Hospice is seeking compassionate men and women to give a few hours each month to provide emotional and practical support to hospice patients in UH hospitals, a patients' homes or nursing facilities. Volunteers provide friendly visits, calm presence at the bedside or give a few hours of relief to a tired caregiver. Run an errand, listen to music, read or just be a quiet presence with someone who is in that final phase of life. No hands on care is required and training is provided, including a flexible high quality online training option. Our volunteers serve patients in the northeast Ohio communities most convenient to their home or work. Just a few hours a month can make a big difference.

University Hospitals (UH) Hospice is committed to providing quality, compassionate care to persons faced with a life-limiting condition and their loved ones. Care is provided wherever the patient calls home, their residence, assisted living or in a skilled nursing facility. Volunteers are an essential part of our hospice team, offering calm, friendly support to patients and families, and administrative support to our paid hospice staff.
