Do you want to help save animals but don’t have a schedule that allows you to volunteer on a regular basis? Do you have room in your home to give an animal a temporary place to stay? You can save lives by fostering!

Almost Home 4ever is a nonprofit Sacramento based animal rescue serving Northern California. We are a small but growing rescue that most often takes in animals with medical needs and/or older animals, though we do take in all sorts of animals in need. We do not have a facility and are strictly foster-based. The more fosters we have, the more lives we can save.

We are looking for fosters throughout Northern California who can give animals a temporary home until they are adopted, and who can transport them to veterinary appointments (which we make at times that work for our fosters). We cover medical costs, food and supplies for the animals.

We need fosters for cats and kittens, dogs and puppies, large and small dogs, older animals, animals with medical needs, and animals that are stressed out at shelters and just need a loving home to blossom in. We mostly take in animals from shelters in Placer, Sacramento, and Stanislaus Counties, but have taken in animals from as far away as Fresno, and we take in animals that need rehoming.
