The 2018 hurricane season has been extraordinarily active in parts of the U.S., with Hurricane Florence currently impacting millions in the Carolinas. As this natural disaster unfolds, the staff here at VolunteerMatch is doing its part to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you are prepared and safe. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know about the most effective ways to contribute.
Do you enjoy spending time with people? Are you a good listener? Hospice Partners of Kansas is looking for you! Visiting with a patient on hospice provides kindness and comfort. It also offers support to family members at a time that is difficult. You will make 1-2 visits per month to ease loneliness, share stores, or help with activities such as preparing a light meal, or light housekeeping. This extra touch helps patients know they are not alone on their journey.
Hospice Partners provides all the training you need to be successful and to ensure you feel comfortable visiting with your patients.
Visit our website at www.hospicepartners.com to submit your volunteer application and we will contact you right away. Or contact LeAnn Lawlor at 816-400-8558 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
