The Simpsonville Learning Center of Greenville Literacy Association needs your help. We need tutors to help with our morning adult GED math classes. Our summer session is July 9 - August 30 and we have some classes without teachers. If you can help during the summer, we'd love to hear from you!
GED: Volunteers work with adults of all ages in small groups to prepare for the GED exam. We often begin at basic levels and study reading/writing, social studies, science, and math. Math, anyone? How about GED Algebra and Geometry? We urgently need some in this area!
Training is provided. Fun, positive environment. Come join us!

Mission Statement
Greenville Literacy Association’s mission is to enrich our community by increasing the literacy and employability of our citizens.
Description
GLA was founded more than fifty years ago when a group of community leaders realized that there had to be solutions to the problem of adult under-education. Today the Association is one of the largest community-based literacy programs in South Carolina and one of the most highly developed in the nation. Hundreds of trained volunteer tutors and small group instructors are active in the agency's programs, literally changing lives in a very positive way. GLA serves the community through two earning centers in Greenville and Simpsonville, and through partnerships in Greer, West Greenville and the Berea area.
