Every year Community Music Center, a local non-profit music school, holds a springtime event to raise money for tuition assistance and scholarships. The Gala is always a marvelous evening featuring world-famous musicians, wonderful stories, and delicious food. As you can imagine, there is a lot of work that goes into making this evening happen. This year the Gala is on Saturday, May 12 at the Four Seasons in San Francisco. We hope you'll lend a helping hand to make this snazzy event a success!

Community Music Center's Spring Gala
A Salute to the Joy of Making Music
Saturday, May 12th, 6:30pm
Four Seasons Hotel
575 Market St.
Set-Up 2:30-5:30 pm (5 people)
put place cards on tables in the ballroom, put auction bid sheets and displays on the auction table, get registration tables set up, get event signage up
Registration: Check-in/Check-out 5:00-10:00 pm (5 people)
Take down scholarship auction bids for assigned tables, collect scholarship auction remit cards, direct guests to check-out or exit, distribute party favors (depending on type of favor)
After 9:30-Clean-up: help collect collateral/signage/etc. at end of event and help get it to CMC staff/board cars to get back to CMC
Scholarship Auction 7:30-10:00 pm (10 people)
checking people in at the gala, swiping credit cards and giving them their programs, directing them to the VIP reception or general reception as appropriate, collecting payment at the end of the evening from anyone who did not pre-register their card, general auction disbursement help. Need to be friendly, able to be calm & genial under pressure.
