Hi-Hope is actively looking for corporate groups interested in getting their workforce engaged in volunteerism and community building. We have had a great deal of success with corporate groups representing a variety of industries, including, but not limited to, construction, HVAC, banking, retail, energy, food and food service, health, automotive, and manufacturing. Typical corporate volunteer events follow one of three models:
1. Host a small group: Welcome a small group of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to your place of work to meet your staff and learn about what you do. These visits are fully supported by Hi-Hope Center staff and usually last between 1 to 2 hours.
2. Visit a Hi-Hope location (throughout Gwinnett County) for infrastructure or beautification projects: A group of your staff visit our main campus in Lawrenceville or one of our group homes for a team project. Past examples include landscaping, painting, small structure construction, demolition, furniture moving, vehicle cleaning and maintenance, gardening, house deep cleaning, organization, etc. These projects vary in length from 2 to 6 hours.
3. Visit Hi-Hope's main campus for an integrated, social activity. These activities happen regularly and vary in length between 2 and 4 hours. Your team will work directly with our Volunteer Coordinator to create a fun activity that can be done with the individuals we support. Examples include holiday card and cookie decorating, season arts & crafts, light exercise activities, birthday parties, dances, cookouts, movies, etc. Hi-Hope staff fully support the activity so that volunteers can relax and have fun with our folks.
Consider corporate engagement with Hi-Hope. It is a great team building opportunity and it establishes your company as a leader in the community. We work with you to make it the best possible experience for everyone involved. Hope to hear from you soon!
