Somali American Women Action Center (SAWAC) is looking for an experienced grant writers who are passionate about our mission of helping immigrant and refugee women in Minnesota thrive. The Volunteer grant writers will be writing grants from scratch and reach out to our donors to out line the grant requirements. We will help you familiarize with the Mission, vision and financial needs of SAWAC. while you get to learn the stories of immigrant and refugee women while you enjoy different food from different cultures since we are located in one of the biggest East African Mall in Minneapolis.
SAWAC is a place where the under served women thrive and its a Chance for you to be part of helping these women rise, achieve and thrive.

The Mission of the Somali American Women Action Center is to help women achieve and thrive.
Description
Somali American Women Action Center is a refugee women led organization tailored towards enriching the lives of Immigrants and refugee women in Minnesota. Minnesota is the home of many Immigrants women who experienced education and employment disparities, which force them to live below the poverty line and rely heavily on social assistance to support their families. Multiple barriers prevent them from furthering their education and securing living wage employments. Currently, low skill and low paying jobs are available. Therefore through a participatory approaches we provide these women the space and the programming that fits their path of achieving and thriving.
