We are planning our annual Fight For Air Climb. The Fight For Air Climb is an exciting event where participants race to the top of a skyscraper to raise funds and awareness for healthy lungs and clean air. This year, we are expecting over 600 community members from across the Bay Area to step up to the challenge.
The American Lung Association’s mission is to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. We are the only health organization that actively supports policies to promote sustainable energy and address climate change and global warming.
Each year, thanks to partnerships, we are able to provide free massages to our participants after they finish the event. I am reaching out because we are looking for 5-6 massage therapist and/or students who could volunteer and give chair massages to participants. We would need the volunteers from 8a-12p on April 21 st, we would also need volunteers to bring their own chairs.More opportunities with American Lung Association, Greater Bay Area
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.

Mission Statement
The mission of the American Lung Association is to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. The American Lung Association in California pursues its mission through advocacy, education and research. We are the only organization in California that helps people and communities improve lung health while working to create public policies that attack the causes of lung disease.
Description
For more than 100 years, the American Lung Association has fought some of our country’s greatest health threats. In 1904, the fight was with tuberculosis, but over the years our focus expanded to prevent or cure all lung diseases, eliminate smoking through tobacco control advocacy, and address environmental health issues.
Today, the focus is on healthy air for healthy lungs.
Since 1954, The American Lung Association in California has been saving lives and improving the health of Californians and their lungs. Through research, education and advocacy, we fight to reduce smoking, keep the air we breathe clean, prevent and treat lung diseases such as asthma and COPD, and eliminate lung cancer.
