The 2018 hurricane season has been extraordinarily active in parts of the U.S., with Hurricane Florence currently impacting millions in the Carolinas. As this natural disaster unfolds, the staff here at VolunteerMatch is doing its part to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you are prepared and safe. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know about the most effective ways to contribute.
Do you have an eye for design and love being creative? Want to help brighten up someone’s day? Sanctuary Hospice is seeking creative, flower arrangement/special projects volunteers.
Every week on Tuesday we receive donated flowers from local stores. These flowers spread happiness to our hospice patients. We would love to have some fun, creative people spend a few hours a week, designing beautiful floral arrangements, and/or assisting with delivering the floral arrangements to patients. You don’t need to have experience with floral arrangements, just have a heart to help!
Assisting with floral arrangements, flower delivery, and other special craft projects
18 years or older
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
Must be able to pass background check, drug test, and TB test
Must be willing to complete Volunteer Orientation training
Special Note: If you would like to assist us specifically with our flowers and work on them in the office, please keep in mind that we receive our deliveries on Tuesdays and generally have our volunteers help arrange them either on Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest. We will try to work with your schedule as much as possible.
