The City of Peoria is looking for volunteer volleyball coaches for the summer season! As a volunteer coach, you'll have the opportunity to be a positive role model for our youth while teaching sportsmanship, volleyball skills, and teamwork.
Coaches are required to attend 1 Tuesday practice per week and 1 Thursday game for 7 week season.
Coaches Meeting: Wednesday, May 22nd at 6 pm. at Rio Vista Recreation Center (8866 W Thunderbird Rd, Peoria, AZ 85381)
Peoria sports leagues are a recreational, non-competitive setting with equal playing time for all players.
As a coach, you'll receive:
- Coaching credit for future season
- Volunteer coach T-shirt
- Indoor gym space reserved for practice
- Practice equipment
- Resources such as practice plans, line up sheets, drills, etc.
Season Dates:
- First practice is Tuesday June 4th. First game is Thursday June 13.
- Games and practices are held at Peoria school gyms (Times range from 5:30pm - 8:30pm)
- Volleyball age divisions are: 7-8, 9-10, 11-13, 14-17
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Complete coach application
- Complete online background check
- Fingerprints
- Attend coach meeting

Description
The City of Peoria Youth Sports Division relies on volunteer coaches in order to have a successful program. Our volunteer coaches act as leaders and mentors for the youth in the Peoria community.
