Foothill Unity Center Inc.'s BIGGEST FOOD DRIVE of the year, partnered with 4 different post offices in the San Gabriel Valley to be the recipient of non-perishable food donated by our neighbors and collected by the Postal Workers for the National Letter Carrier Food Drive.
Volunteers are needed to help unload bags of food from letter carrier trucks , quickly sort into Foothill Unity's boxes and load onto the trucks. Event is physical and requires being on feet for entire shift.
All ages are welcome, however three locations posted on website do have age restrictions. To volunteer please register at https://foothillunitycenter.org/volunteer/

Description
The Center acts as a lifeline for very low-income individuals and families who are struggling to survive. Clients are often unemployed, employed at wages too low to provide for their families, on welfare, or facing a temporary crisis. It also serves seniors, homeless, disabled, emancipated foster youth, victims of domestic violence, and students on limited incomes.
We provide critical support, in the form of food, heath services and crisis referrals to very low-income families and individuals in crisis. We work with other agencies to provide long-term shelter, counseling, medical, educational, employment and other assistance.
