Kitty Playtime, Cleaning and Feeding

Every afternoon, Volunteers conduct playtime with the cats and kittens at PetSmart Palm Springs and also feed the cats and kittens and clean their cages. Playtime is, as it suggests, alot of fun. Many of our rescues have not had humans love them and spend time playing with their toys and petting them. We do not bring feral cats into this location but many are shy or in need of love. Every cat or kitten Kittyland has at PetSmart is spayed or neutered and has been vaccinated. These cats are healthy and ready for adoption. These Volunteers do not do Adoption Counseling. Volunteers do need to be "cat people" and have some experience with cats.

At this time, we can only have adult volunteers. We have volunteers for the mornings now and need help around 3 or 4 in the afternoon as the Adoption Counselors are finishing their shifts and need support returning the kittens to the Cattery and feeding and providing some paytime.

Kittyland cares very much for and appreciates and trains its volunteers. We will give you references so you can visit with other volunteers and observe them at PetSmart. As a volunteer, you will be valued and praised. You will receive specific answers to your questions and someone you can always call with questions or problems. You receive an emailed photo and an announcement of every adopted cat or kitten. We provide T Shirts, bumper stickers and a couple of parties each year!
