  • Update the program status document and share updates with the Program Manager
  • May assist the Program Manager with additional outreach projects as time permits

  • Comfortable multi-tasking
  • Experienced with data entry and working with databases
  • Good Customer Service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • General office experience and experience with Google docs or similar software
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to promote the mission and activities of SHFB with enthusiasm.

The ideal volunteer will be available 8-12 hours per week between now and July 31. Hours are flexible but must be agreed with the work supervisor. The Volunteer may work remotely, but must be available for periodic on-site meetings with staff.

This is a unique chance to use the skills and expertise you developed over your career to create a lasting impact in your community. We look forward to working with you.

Description

Second Harvest of Silicon Valley is a private non-profit organization that collects and distributes more than 12 million pounds of food each month. We currently serve an average of over 500,000 individuals each month; 60% are low income families and 20% are seniors.
