About the chapter:
Project Sunshine’s chapter in Yonkers, NY, provides monthly Book Buddies (reading with volunteers) or Creative Arts and Crafts programs to the children in a local long term rehabilitation resident center. The children at the center have very limited interactive or mobile level. Project Sunshine volunteers are highly expected every month.
About the position:
Project Sunshine is currently looking for Chapter Leaders to take on the oversight and coordination of the volunteers and monthly programming of the Chapter, and provide support to the facility’s special events like annual holiday parties, with training and support from Project Sunshine’s office in New York City.
The programming occurs on weekend mornings. The Chapter Leaders must be at least 18 years old, and a minimum one-year commitment is required. This is a volunteer position.
