THE COALITION OF HISPANIC WOMEN AGAINST CANCER, INC. is organized exclusively for educational purposes, more specifically to reduce the breast/cervical cancer disparity among Hispanic and all other minorities in the community through advocacy, education, referral, increasing awareness and access to services in a culturally sensitive way by overcoming barriers.
As a non-profit organization, we operate with volunteers and two part-time employees. Our services are offered in both Kansas and Missouri and services are provided in Spanish and English.Coalition of Hispanic Women against Cancer is looking for volunteers to assist during our healthcare screenings. Our Healthcare screenings are on Tuesdays from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Volunteers are needed for different activities such as: registration, lab and assisting provider among others. CHWAC also has volunteer opportunities in an office environment during the weekdays business hours. If you are looking to improve your Spanish skills, learn about the Hispanic culture related to healthcare industry, or if your are looking to get some experience in the healthcare industry, this opportunity is for you! Gain skills as you are serving women in your community.
