The volunteer for this opportunity must be MALE, as the mentoring program is based on same-gender matches.
This youth fled violence his family experienced in Guinea. He was separated from his parents and has not had contact with them. It is unknown where they are or if they are alive. He fled to Morocco and lived there a couple years. He arrived at one of Bethany's group homes on 3/28/2018. He has very limited English abilities and his primary language is French. A mentor would be beneficial in helping his transition to life in the United States as a friend and support. A French-speaking volunteer will be prioritized.
