Individuals will enrich the COSI experience through support of special events, during peak periods of COSI and by assisting with special projects such as festivals, internal events, etc. Candidates should possess good communication skills, have a passion for educating the public and enjoy working with people of all ages and backgrounds. Candidates must also be able to stand for long periods of time, be comfortable performing in front of large and small audiences, including one-on-one interactions.
Essential volunteer functions include: interacting with guests, by answering questions, and assisting with their needs while they are in the building and provide concierge level guest services to all guests and Team. Assist with special events, most events will happen in and around COSI. Tasks may include facilitating learning activities, greeting, coat check, preparing mailings, data entry, preparing/assembling kits and direction finding.
Minimum age 18 years of age. Background check required. COSI will provide orientation and Training; On going skill development; Free parking; discounts in the Atomic Caf? and our Science2go Shop, and COSI Membership after 100 hours.
