We are looking for an energetic and creative dance coach (trained in any genre of dance) to work with our new dance team comprised of young ladies in grades 6-12. The candidate must have a love for girls who may be beginners and must have enough patience to lead them!
The team is being trained in the hip-hop and majorette styles of dance, so this coach will work alongside our majorette coach and will teach them solid technique in other genres. Hip-hop majorette dancing is high-energy, synchronized, rhythmic dance moves that draw from ballet, jazz, modern dance, hip-hop and gymnastics.
Our NJ Team will rehearse in the Downtown Rahway area. They practice for two or three Saturdays in a month from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. We would love someone to start immediately as our first day (audition day) will be Saturday, September 8th.
Please let us know about your dance experience when you apply and the earliest date you will be available to serve. We would consider an extremely talented high school student who has an interest in training to be a coach and could use the experience for community service credit. Thanks!

Friends of MJHS ("Friends") is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation organized for the purpose of generating contributions, pledges and funds for the development and ongoing support of Citadel Academy Prep School (CAPS), a school that will provide students in grades 6-8 with a high quality Christian education through a well balanced, yet challenging curriculum that ministers to the spirit, soul and body.
Friends will also provide funds, management and ongoing support of The SoulDeevas Performing Arts Company, a character building sports and arts program that will serve all youth regardless of their religious affiliation. The SoulDeevas will include programs that provide activities, resources and support during critical out-of-school time hours in a safe, nurturing environment that works from a strengths-based, youth development perspective.
