Celebrate Earth Day at the Albany Shoreline and Bulb!
Saturday April 20th, 2019, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Albany Bulb and Shoreline Park at the foot of Buchanan Street, Albany
The Watershed Project is hosting its annual Earth Day Shoreline Clean-up - bring your family and friends! Join community volunteers for a morning of giving back to the Earth, while enjoying the beauty of the SF Bay. Learn about local efforts to protect our SF Bay watersheds and wildlife by reducing trash and plastics in our city streets, local creeks, and in the Bay.
Shoreline Clean-Up is from 9:00am to 12:00am. Everyone welcome to come clean up the beach and the Bulb, enjoy snacks, and see our exhibits. We will have prizes for the most unusual item found and a scavenger hunt. Gloves and buckets provided, but please bring your own if possible to reduce disposable items. Wear sturdy shoes, a hat and sunscreen, and bring your own reusable water bottle if you have one. We request that dogs be kept on a leash on the dry-sand area on the beach and in the registration area. Parking kindly provided by Golden Gate Fields Racetrack: please follow signs for parking.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Minors under 18 require waiver signed by parent or legal guardian. Groups of 10 or more should pre-register here:Please pre-register groups at https://secure.givelively.org/event/the-watershed-project/albany-earth-day-shoreline-cleanup.
