Change the life of a chronically ill child in Oceanside

Carlos and kiddo 2
Volunteer Carlos used our new online platform to find a nearby CoachArt student for drum lessons!

Kids impacted by chronic illness often can't be part of local sports leagues or participate in extracurriculars at school.

So they sign up with CoachArt to learn about different art or athletic activities, and we recruit volunteers like you to give them 8 one-hour lessons.

We even have a new online tool called CoachArt Connect where you can:
- complete the online training and background check
- see a map of the kids in your area and what they want to learn
- schedule a match directly with the parents

I'm Emily, your local Program Manager. Our volunteers tell us that their lessons with their students put everything else in life in perspective, I invite you to contact me to have the same experience!

Mission Statement

CoachArt’s mission is to create a transformative arts and athletics community for families impacted by childhood chronic illness.

CoachArt is a non-profit organization offering free lessons in the arts and athletics to children impacted by chronic illness, ages 5-18. Our vision is that one day every family impacted by chronic illness will be connected to a community of support and an opportunity to learn and grow together.

We partner with talented volunteers and arts/athletics programs to offer lessons in music, art, yoga, photography, dance, soccer - and more! Our CoachArt team matches each individual child with our volunteers and program partners, who provide 8 week lessons in a shared activity of choice.
