ENMMC Hospital Auxiliary Inc is currently seeking volunteers!
Hospital Volunteers are people who donate their time, skills and talents to benefit the patients and visitors at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center and the community. Volunteers feels a sense of accomplishment, learn new skills and learn about the healthcare field. The personal touch that volunteers provide makes a big difference in patients' lives and their families as well as members of the community.
Our volunteers serve in various areas of the hospital. They extend warm greetings, provide conversation to relieve patients' anxiety. Patients' needs are important and the hospital is sensitive to them. At the same time, patients and visitors want to feel that their needs are taken seriously. Volunteers help on both sides of this equation.
Current Needs Include:
- Hospitality Shop Volunteers (Serving in the Auxiliary owned and run hospitality/gift shop)
- Coffee Bar Baristas (Making and serving coffee drinks to customers within the hospitality shop)
- Surgical Waiting Room Hosts and Hostesses
- Scholarship Committee Members
- Dietary (Assisting in the dining areas with wiping tables and tray delivery to patients helping to ensure that patients' meals are received quickly and with a friendly smile)
- Information Desk Greeters

To render services to Eastern New Mexico Medical Center Hospital in it's mission to serve with compassion the health needs of the people in our community, by promoting the health and welfare of the community through interpretation of the hospital to the public, through service to the hospital and its patients, scholarships, and education.
Description
Eastern New Mexico Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary is a 501 (c)(3) organization which aims to promote health and health education to the community in Roswell, NM and the surrounding areas. Active volunteers serve within the hospital in various departments. Helping others is one of the most rewarding of all experiences. Volunteers at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center see firsthand how the hospital is run. They learn about issues that affect hospitals and patients. They also see how the hospital responds to patients' needs. Volunteers are often the first members of the hospital team who patients and visitors meet! In addition, the Auxiliary operates to raise funds annually which are distributed back into the community in the form of scholarships for local students interested in entering the medical field.
