Small learning center that needs someone to teach beginning guitar to 2-3 students for the summer break maybe longer once you enjoy being with the kids - great kids who work hard and are very respectful. You don't have to be a professional musician, just someone who can teach basic chords, strums and a cool song or two. This is really about wanting to make a difference in people's lives. The families we serve are refugees from distant war-ravaged countries and their children are amazing to work with! We have some new acoustic guitars that the kids are interested in learning. They've never had this kind of opportunity in their home countries.

Mission Statement
The Paradise Shadows Neighborhood Network Center is an onite, multiservice technology center at the Paradise Shadows Apartments, a HUD community in north Phoenix. The center offers job-training, GED preparation, and ESL classes for the adults. The center also provides tutoring, mentoring, and educational afterschool activities for the youth. The purpose of the Network Center is to promote self-sufficiency and provide technology access to the residents of Paradise Shadows.
Description
The Paradise Shadows Network Center has 5 computers available to the residents. Several key volunteers from the business, education, and religious communities teach classes and mentor residents in various subjects designed to promote self-sufficiency among the residents.
