For volunteers over 50 years old who want to make a significant contribution of time and talent to serve your community, the Montgomery County Volunteer Center’s 50+ Volunteer Network can help you find an opportunity that fits with your skills, interests, and availability. Through personal consultations with volunteers and ongoing relationships with the county’s nonprofit and government agencies, we work to match you with the type of activity that reflects not only what you can do, but what you want to do - as well as when and for whom you want to do it!! We have over 100 unique opportunities such as tutoring students, planning events, writing grants, serving on a board, teaching classes, providing organizational support, managing volunteers, with more coming in every day from a variety of organizations!

The Montgomery County Volunteer Center is the primary resource for nonprofits and volunteers in Montgomery County Maryland. We maintain a searchable database of volunteer opportunities, organize days of service, provide training and supports to nonprofits in our community.
Our 50+ Volunteer Network connects those who want to offer a significant contribution of time and talent to serve the community in a meaningful way. Through personal consultations with each volunteer and ongoing relationships with over 200 partner organizations, this program has successfully matched hundreds of volunteers with nonprofit and government agencies that benefit from their skills and experience.
