Come volunteer at the largest urban farm in the United States! Help us prepare our farm fields to be farmed by local farmers in future seasons! Help our staff prepare the land for the future Youth Farm at Hilltop Urban Farm.
We are happy to be working with GTECH, who is providing the tools and supplies needed with their PGH Mobile Toolbox.
During this work day Hilltop Urban Farm is hosting a Tree Planting event with the Fruit Tree Foundation + will be planting 35 fruit trees at the Youth Farm.
Please wear closed toed shoes, bring plenty of water, and we suggest both a hat and sunscreen because there is limited shade on site!
** All attendees will be required to sign-in for the work day & sign a site waiver.

Hilltop Urban Farm is a nonprofit, community-centered farm in Pittsburgh’s Hilltop community. Located on 107 acres of land - with 23 acres dedicated to farming - it is a multi-pronged initiative that produces locally-grown crops, provides agriculture-based education, generates entrepreneurial opportunities, and strengthens communities. Hilltop Urban Farm is set to transform the land it currently occupies. Given its size, scope and reach, it will ultimately become the largest urban farm in the United States and serve as a resource for urban farming initiatives.
