The 2018 Take Steps for Crohn's & Colitis Walk is Saturday, April 28 at Homewood Central Park. In order to make this event the best it possibly can be we need help from lots of volunteers like you! Set up begins at 1 PM, the walk festival begins at 4 PM, the walk ends at 6 PM, and immediately after the walk ends we will begin clean up. There are several areas and shifts you can sign up for to help out, including clean up, working a specific tent during the walk, or clean up. Let us know you are interested and we will send you more information about the shifts still available.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation is to cure Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis are collectively known as inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD).
Description
The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to finding the cures for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. It was founded in 1967 by Irwin M. and Suzanne Rosenthal, William D. and Shelby Modell, and Henry D. Janowitz, M.D.
Since our founding over 50 years ago, The Foundation has remained at the forefront of research in Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Today, we fund cutting-edge studies at major medical institutions, nurture investigators at the early stages of their careers, and finance underdeveloped areas of research. In addition, our educational workshops and programs, along with our scientific journal, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, enable medical professionals to keep pace with this rapidly growing field. We are very proud that the National Institutes of Health has commended us for "uniting the research community and strengthening IBD research."
