The Global Acupuncture Project (GAP) trains health-care providers in Uganda how to use a simple form of acupuncture to reduce pain and suffering and improve quality of life. Although anecdotally we know that these treatments have had a very significant impact on the local Ugandans, we need to collect data to objectively show how we are doing.
We already have the research tool to gather the data, but we need to make it as easy and as simple as possible for our practitioners to use this tool and forward the data to us here in the United States. Because all of our practitioners in Uganda have cell phones, it seems that the easiest way to gather the data is via a phone app.
