Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 2018 JP Morgan Corporate Challenge on behalf of Blessons Scholarships for Women! Each volunteer that registers with Blessons, helps the charity receive more donations! Below you will find general details for your volunteer shift on Thursday, May 24, 2018.
You must be officially registered to be able to volunteer. Please follow the registration instruction below. You may bring friends, They have to register as well.
Volunteer Assignment Details
Position: Start Line Corrals
Check-in: 5:00 PM
Check-out: 9:00 PM
Check-in location: Southeast corner of Balbo Dr. and Columbus Dr.
Location and Check-In
Volunteer Check-In is located at the southeast corner of Balbo Dr. and Columbus Dr. All volunteers must check-in with their group leader (KHIT) or Volunteer Check-In Staff.
T-Shirts will be distributed at Volunteer Check-In.
Please be advised that no gear check will be offered, and bags and backpacks are not allowed at the start line, finish line, or on course. Please refrain from bringing bags and personal items that do not fit in your pockets.
Transportation
Public transporation is highly encouraged for traveling to this event. No parking is offered by the event, and it is a high traffic area. To view your options for traveling to Grant Park, please visit metrarail.com or transitchicago.com.

- For the "Volunteer Group" portion, check the box that says, "I am part of a group"
- Select Blessons from the dropdown
- Ensure the box is checked next to the Start Line Marshals - East shift
- Scroll down to read and agree to the waiver
- Click "Register"
- You will receive an email confirming that you registered

All volunteers must register online by Monday, May 21, 11:59 p.m.

Mission Statement
Blessons for Women provides free mentorship, educational workshops and wellness clinics for all women, in addition to scholarships to disadvantaged, low-income women who are 25 years or older and who have had their higher education interrupted due to challenging life lessons such as; cancer, mental health conditions, physical or emotional abuse, sex trafficking or who are first generation female immigrants.

Regardless of background, study interests and skilled trade job requirements, there are Blessons Scholarship Awards available for women trying to re-enter or advance themselves in the job market by obtaining a higher education or new skill. We support women who are in need of financial support towards their continuing education and training in order to improve their economic status.
