On-Site Volunteer for the Pitch, Hit and Run Competition

It is a magnificent pleasure to introduce ourselves as At Bat, a non-profit organization whose focus is to provide baseball and softball activities for at-risk youth in Michigan. The organization's mission is set forth with the overall goal of increasing the number of minorities that can participate in the sport of baseball and softball. In pursuance of our goals and to celebrate the beginning of the baseball season in the city of Detroit, we are hosting Scotts(r) Pitch, Hit and Run Competition at Peterson Park, which is located at 19141 Greenfield Road. Since this competition happens during National Volunteer Week, we decided to honor our volunteers by creating a family-friendly event combined with the competition on April 21, 2018, from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Volunteers should arrive one hour prior to the start of the event to receive their duties and instructions. This event is free to all who attend and to those who are participating. Help us in this noble cause by volunteering for roles such as facilitator, judge panel, award presenter, and concession. Why Help? Volunteering for this event will help at-risk youth in the Metro Detroit Area to showcase their abilities and expand their knowledge in the sport of baseball/softball. This will also open doors for opportunities that can take them to heights that they have never dreamed of. Those who make it through several levels of this competition will be given the chance to compete during MLB All-Star weekend of 2018. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity that can change the very course of the lives of young people who are looking for a chance to show they can accomplish anything they set their minds to.
