Join us for our biggest collection event in our almost 10 year history! This May, we will be the lead agency to collect, sort and redistribute items that students leave behind when they move out of their dorms in the Spring. This will results in 20,000 lbs of usable clothing, outerwear, household items, and more--all to benefit people in need throughout the state of Colorado.
Volunteer opportunities to help collect and sort on the CSU campus will begin the week of May 7th, with shifts between 2 pm - 8 pm. Saturday, May 12th - Monday, May 14th will be "all hands on deck" days, with dozens of volunteers needed to organize the approximate five tractor trailer loads of items.
Our job will be to get these items ready for non-profit agencies across our state to pick up for redistributing to people in need. On Monday May 14th, non-profit agencies and faith communities from throughout the state will converge on our distribution site to pick up the sorted items.
We need your help! Please "rally the troops" and invite your friends, neighbors, family, etc (anyone you think might be interested) and help us with this enormously impactful project.

Please note that in this posting I used the Murphy Center address as a placeholder. The sorting from Monday - Friday 5/7 - 5/11 will take place on CSU's campus at a location to be determined. The main sorting event on Saturday - Monday 5/12 - 5/14 will take place at CSU's parking lot on Centre Ave, just south of the Hilton Hotel.
