LSS Food Pantries Help Desk
- Volunteers will help clients place food and personal care orders and answer questions over the phone. This role is critical for ensuring that our clients can access our services, make changes to their orders, and find helpful information, with or without access to the internet.
How volunteers will help:
- Answer phones at the Help Desk
- Use the SmartChoice system to place and edit orders and family information
- Answer questions about LSS Food Pantries services
- Be the voice of LSS Food Pantries, helping clients to feel comfortable accessing needed food
Who should volunteer:
- Individuals and small groups age 18 and older
- Availability between 9:45AM and 1:00PM on weekdays
- Great listening and communication skills
- Basic phone and computer skills
- A compassionate heart and desire to help others
