If you're facing mental health challenges or are a provider like a clinician or mental health staff, consider joining NAMI Vermont's Provider Program as a mental health teacher. This role involves educating others about mental illness and recovery, and sharing your own experiences to enhance understanding and compassion.

The program offers a free, detailed training course, either 15-hour or 4-hour long, aimed at staff in public mental health agencies and related organizations. The teaching team includes a family member, an individual with mental health challenges, and a mental health provider, each offering distinct perspectives.

Ideal candidates for this role include peers, family members, and clinicians or mental health staff who have personal experience with mental health conditions. Participants will receive training from NAMI Vermont and are expected to conduct at least one workshop annually.

To make a significant contribution to mental health education in Vermont, register to become a Mental Health Teacher with NAMI Vermont at namivt.org. Your unique insights can make a lasting impact. Apply now and be a part of this important initiative.
