Check out our events calendar at www.hshv.org as we host a morning and afternoon Day of Service Event the 3rd Wednesday of the month for groups and individuals who wish to volunteer, but without a long-term commitment. Our Day of Service Event includes a brief presentation, a staff-led tour, a 2 hour volunteer experience, and then an animal meet & greet at the end. Volunteer assignment are usually administrative and/or shelter support based and there are no animal handling assignments (i.e. dog walking, cat comforting, etc).
