The Arc's Value Village Donations and Operations Intern is a stipend eligible position for the 2018-2019 school year. This position supports thrift and operations management functions with preparation of donor materials, requests, stewardship, special event coordination and administrative support. Assists with soliciting, tracking and acknowledging individual & corporate donors or sponsors for Arc’s Value Village Stores. Reports to Facilities Manager and Thrift Leadership Team & supports a broad range of activities. Duties include:
- Prepares materials for donor appointments
- Attends necessary departmental meetings; assists in planning & implementing development & related thrift events
- Conducts donor communication & maintenance; includes acknowledgement & donation drive kit mailings
- Helps maintain data including donation processing
- Research E-Campaigns and assist during the donation drive campaigns
- Conducts End of Year follow-up phone communications with donors
- Cross-train to serve as back up to other development and thrift related interns
- Cross-collaborate and identify items with New Media Intern and/or supervisor for social media platforms
- Creates and updates best practices binder; assists with special projects and administrative tasks as requested
- A written recap of their experience and what they learned from their internship with Arc
- Other duties as requested
This is a retail and inventory management focused position for the summer 2018. Must be available to intern 10-12 hours per week. Hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm with occasional evenings and Saturdays as needed. An exit interview will also be conducted to gauge intern experience and to make recommendations for improvement.
Includes a $1000 stipend payable in December 2018 and May 2019 or the utilization of work study if eligible.
