Join the Teddy Bear Project and Riverkeeper for a cleanup and tree planting project of Concrete Plant Park (Between Westchester Ave & Bruckner Ave) on Saturday, May 5, 2018 for the 7th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep, a day of service for the Hudson River and its tributaries.

Volunteers will meet at the Concrete Plant Park (Westchester Ave. side of the bikeway inside the lawn). Parking may not be available so public transport is recommended. We ask all Sweep volunteers to wear sturdy shoes or boots, clothing that they can get dirty, and to bring a hat, sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, and snacks. This site is suitable for elementary-aged children with proper adult supervision.

Getting there on public transportation:

  • Subway train 6-Whitlock ave station, bus BX4, BX4A, BX27, on Westchester ave side of Concrete Plant Park near S.167th st, Sheridan Expressway, Colgate Ave, and BX5 Bruckner Blvd & Bronx River ave near Edgewater Rd.
